Job Description

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of client requirements, market trends, and wealth management advisory best practices.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and designs end-to-end solutions based on business requirements, ensuring that these solutions are both effective and efficient in meeting the defined objectives.
  • Stay well-informed about the most recent trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies affecting the wealth management industry.
  • Organize meetings and workshops with users and subject matter experts to understand business requirements. You will collaborate with these experts to create comprehensive business workflows for the Business Requirements Document (BRD) and Functional Specifications Document (FSD), ensuring alignment with the IT roadmap and strategies.
  • Elicit requirements, prioritise and analyse requests, design business processes, workflows and user interfaces, review functional specifications and data mapping templates
  • Be the bridge between the Business and Technology team during solution and all phases of SDLC and/or Agile/SCRUM sprints/delivery
  • Work closely with the IT development team and technology Architects to deliver prototypes and evaluate these with business users to align expectations and solidify requirements.
  • Coordinate cross-functional team members and activities for business work streams to get business signoff for the project cost, plan and various specifications. You'll ensure all business requirements are addressed within functional specifications and keep the Scrum Master and/or functional stream leads updated on progress.
  • Support Business Leads or user representatives in preparing training plans or materials, and user manuals.
  • Assist the Product Owner in reviewing UAT test artefacts like test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and data.
  • Support preparation of key presentations, strategy documentation and other documents
  • The role will involve thoroughly assessing the upstream and downstream impact of changes and ensuring the quality of JIRA stories by identifying comprehensive exception scenarios.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, systems or any other similar discipline.
  • Young graduates with 0-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the wealth management sector in business solution analysis, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data from various sources.
  • Solid knowledge of wealth management industry trends, including regulatory requirements, digital transformation, and evolving client expectations is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying creative and innovative solutions.
  • Experience with technology platforms is beneficial, but not a primary requirement.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment and familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using business analysis tools, and project management software will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
