Roles & Responsibilities

Job Scope:

  • Designing and developing high-quality stamping press tools to meet specific product requirements
  • Conducting tool tryouts and implementing necessary adjustments to optimise tool performance
  • Overseeing the maintenance and repair of stamping press tools to maximise uptime and productivity
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and implement continuous improvements
  • Providing technical support and training to production staff on the proper use and care of stamping press tools
  • Monitoring tool wear and recommending replacement or refurbishment as needed
  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to stamping press tool design, performance and maintenance

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Stamping Press Tooling Engineer or in a similar role
  • Proven track record in designing and developing high-performance stamping press tools
  • Proficient in using CAD software, FEA analysis and other engineering design tools
  • Strong understanding of metal forming processes, tool materials and heat treatment techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate technical information
