The Renewable Energy Product Manager is crucial for the development of ACT's business in the APAC region. You will lead new product opportunities and scale-up existing developments for biomethane, and provide global renewable energy policy expertise in the region. As a product manager, you will collaborate with the commercial and sales teams in building and managing client relationships and will lead and be responsible for the biomethane development process. You will work alongside other R&D team members in the region and globally to support ACT's strategy development and product offerings in renewable energy.

Your responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership and Business Development for Biomethane

a. Lead development of a 5-year biomethane strategy for Asia Pacific, ensuring alignment with overall ACT objectives for growth.

b. Lead biomethane opportunity development in Asia Pacific, from pre-analysis to the final trade, ensuring collaboration and coordination across relevant sourcing and selling activities.

c. Provide project management and leadership for renewable energy growth projects, including renewable energy opportunities for Japan.

2. Market Research & Analysis

a. Together with the regional R&D team, report quarterly on major drivers and trends in the market for renewable energy.

b. Share knowledge and insights regularly with sales and commercial teams to ensure they remain abreast of market and regulatory developments. Develop training materials as needed.

3. Project Management and Innovation

a. Instill product innovation process in regional project work. Mentor and guide the team to ensure consistency of processes application.

4. Team Collaboration

a. Share skills and knowledge to improve R&D team members' ability to engage with regulators, lobby groups, and other relevant key stakeholders in the region and globally.

b. Foster cross team collaboration when developing biomethane opportunities in the region.

Your profile:

You possess strong commercial acumen and have a strong track record of using renewable energy regulations and policies to inform the development of new products. You have stellar social skills and a demonstrated ability to influence people without formal authority and in a collaborative spirit.

  • Master's degree in a Business or Sustainability related field, with a strong analytical component
  • Fluent in English
  • 7+ years' experience in the (Renewable) Energy sector, preferably related to Biomethane and relevant experience in topic-specific regulation and policies;
  • Experience analyzing data with attention to detail;
  • Aptitude for taking initiative, a commercial and creative mind with an entrepreneurial attitude;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;
  • A commercial and creative mindset;
  • Strong collaboration skills
