Roles & Responsibilities

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment. The Junior AR Accountant will assist in managing all aspects of accounts receivable, including invoicing, bank reconciliation, and receivables follow-up and monitoring. Additionally, this role will support HR responsibilities such as posting job ads, screening candidates, and passing on applications to the hiring manager.


Key Responsibilities:


Invoicing and Billing

  • Assist in generating and issuing invoices to customers promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure billing information is correct and complies with company policies and regulations.

Bank Reconciliation

  • Assist in performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and internal records.

Accounts Receivable Management

  • Monitor and update accounts receivable records.
  • Support the follow-up on overdue accounts and assist in collection activities.

Receivables Follow-Up and Monitoring

  • Track outstanding receivables and ensure timely collection of payments.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of accounts receivable activities.
  • Assist in preparing regular AR reports, including aging analysis.

Customer Relations

  • Address customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments professionally.
  • Assist in resolving billing issues and discrepancies.

Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth order processing.
  • Work with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing processes.

Human Resource Support

  • Assist in posting job ads on various job boards and company websites.
  • Screen candidates' resumes and applications.
  • Pass qualified applications to the hiring manager for further review.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Some experience in accounts receivable or a related accounting role is a plus, but not required.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and AR processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in and some understanding of HR processes is an advantage.
