Job Purpose

You will be part of the dynamic Business Finance team responsible for management reporting, expense budget management and project evaluation. You will assist Expense Management - Business Finance Team Lead in managing distribution/management expenses, project progress and provide meaningful business analytics.

The Job

• Responsible for the review of the Group Expense Approval Policy and Operating guidelines, including its related governance and controls.
• Involve in the review and evaluation of business initiatives in terms of program design, qualifying criteria, validation and its related financial metrics;
• Responsible for the validation of payment disbursement to our distribution intermediaries via DCMS;
• Responsible in expense management review, monitoring expense trend to ensure expenses are in tandem with business objectives;
• Preparation/Consolidation of business performance through evaluation of post project implementation, review of financial metrics and business KPI;
• Preparation/Compilation of data to support deeper analysis of distribution expenses;
• Continuously looking for ways to improve existing reporting and analytical processes.
• Assist the Team Lead for any project assignments and ad-hoc requirements
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

Our Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Finance in Finance-related fields, finance operations;
• 3 - 5 years working experience, preferably in the insurance industry and experience in finance operations;
• Strong interpersonal & operational skills;
• Possess strong verbal, written communication and analytical skills;
• Goal-orientated and resourceful;
• Attention to detail while maintaining a clear overview of key issues;
• Pro-active and independent individual; and
• Able to work effectively with minimal management guidance and supervision.
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
