Roles & Responsibilities

Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives:

  • Develops and implements company and regulatory quality standards in Laboratory facility.
  • Knowledgeable of industry and governmental regulations affecting product quality.
  • Develops, implements, revises and maintains quality standards, tools and methods for processing materials into finished product s.
  • Designs or specifies inspection n and testing mechanisms and equipment.
  • Analyzes production limitations and standards.
  • Recommends revision of specifications when indicated.
  • Formulates or assists in formulating quality control policies and procedures.
  • Drives quality improvement and cost reduction using Six Sigma or Lean methodology.
  • Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the laboratory quality management system and to identify the occurrence of departure from the quality management system and initiate actions to prevent or minimize such departures.

Major Responsibilities

  • Supervise all testing activities associated with batch release and environmental monitoring. Knowledge of basic principles, methods, technologies and practices of a professional/ technical field.
  • General knowledge of procedures and activities within own work area. Focused on learning the key aspects and duties of the job being performed. Applies research, information gathering and analytical skills.
  • Handles detailed, structured problems.
  • Works on assignments where judgment is required a majority of the time. Works under general direction, seeks assistance as needed.
  • Contributes to own team/ closely related teams through quality and accuracy of own output. Conveys information in a concise and professional manner.
  • Asks effective questions and solicits feedback to understand needs. Anticipates future needs based on past transactions.
  • Be an Approved Signatory to issue SAC endorsed report, to take responsibility for the validity and ensure adequacy of test result, design quality control programs, set action criteria and take corrective action when required.
  • Provide advice and guidance in technical matters, opinion and interpretation n based on results, and identify and resolve technical related problem.
  • Perform technical competency assessment for trainee.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in microbiology laboratory testing or relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Good leadership and problem-solving skill.
  • Good communication and report writing skill.
  • Practical experience in working in a fast-pace laboratory environment with tight datelines and able to solve problems in a speedy and methodical manner with good follow -up on action items. Able to conduct effective laboratory investigations
  • Abilit y to lead and supervise a group of laboratories analysts to provide prompt service to support.
  • Production activities in a safe and productive environment.
