Roles & Responsibilities

Lucence is an international genomic medicine company focusing on personalizing cancer care through novel tests for cancer detection and treatment. We are headquartered in Singapore with offices in Hong Kong, Suzhou and San Francisco.


Learning Outcomes

The learning outcomes aim to equip the Operations Intern with a well-rounded skill set, combining technical knowledge of facilities management with essential soft skills like communication, problem-solving, and project management. This experience should prepare the intern for future roles in operations or facilities management.


Some of the key areas you will be involved in include:

· Assist in the day-to-day management of office facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, and well-maintained working environment.

· Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and coordinate with relevant vendors or service providers to address issues promptly.

· Maintain an inventory of office supplies, furniture, and equipment.

· Monitor stock levels, place orders, and coordinate deliveries to ensure seamless availability of resources.

· Communicate with external vendors and service providers for facility-related services.

· Obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and ensure that services are delivered in accordance with agreed-upon terms.

· Proactively identify areas for improvement in office facilities management processes.

· Propose and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.


To be a good fit for this role, you would have:

· Pursuing a degree in a related field (e.g., biological sciences, molecular biology, genetics, manufacturing, and IT) is a plus.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to lead and work with others in a positive and collaborative manner to set and meet organizational goals.

· Strong and collaborative work ethic; must be a self-starter and persistent in achieving objectives to support company’s scientific and business goals.

· The ability to work well in a small team setting, with ability to work independently and collaboratively, while meeting scheduled deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· To be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
