Medical Equipment Service Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical installation for project installation, seminars and workshops
  • Provide on-site service and support to customers such as but not limited to problem verification and solution, collection of the defective items back for further investigation and repair. For items consolidated for shipment, to track their progress where necessary until fulfilment to customers.
  • Setup, configure and commission systems for customers.
  • Handles technical enquiries and request for quotations on technical service.
  • To participate in tender preparation when required.
  • Update/Create technical forms based on service SOPs
  • Submit relevant reports for all works relating to on-site problem resolution, customer service calls defective products, preventive maintenance, etc.
  • Track the warranties of devices and equipment sold to customers and provides warranty preventive maintenance.
  • Familiarize customers’ technical personnel like the BME/technicians with Karl Storz products whenever required.
  • Ensure that service loaners are in good working condition for loaning and update the Loaner tracker
  • Stand-in cases to observe any technical glitches of the system and feedback to KST for improving or rectifying current system.
  • Support the marketing and sales team in providing complete technical solution to meet customers’ needs.
  • To ensure all GDPMDS compliances are complied.
  • To report to Technical Service Manager/Service Business Manager on any pending issues which is beyond his capabilities.


Requirements:

  • Mechanical/Electronic/Electrical knowledge equivalent to Diploma level or higher.
  • Minimum with 1 year of related working experience in Medical Equipment Service/Field Service.
  • Strong problem solving ability in technical and product management
  • Ability to communicate and handle customers in a customer-centric and amicably in a pressing situation
  • Well versed in IT and AV
  • Experience in handling x-ray equipment is advantageous.
