Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences, including dietary restrictions and special requests.
  • Design customized menus that align with the client's event theme, budget, and requirements.
  • Suggest food and beverage options that are practical for outdoor events and mobile setups.
  • Prepare, cook, and plate meals in advance or on-site using mobile kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are adhered to during preparation, transportation, and service.
  • Maintain food quality, ensuring that all dishes are fresh, delicious, and served at the correct temperature.
  • Organize and manage the transportation of food, beverages, equipment, and supplies to event locations.
  • Set up and break down mobile catering stations, food trucks, or food stalls at the event venue.
  • Ensure all necessary equipment (e.g., cooking appliances, serving ware) is in good working condition and available for use.
  • Arrive at the event location ahead of schedule to set up, ensuring that food and services are ready on time.
  • Collaborate with event planners, vendors, and clients to align food service with the event's timeline and needs.
  • Adapt quickly to any last-minute changes or special requests during the event.
  • Provide friendly and professional service to event guests.
  • Engage with guests as needed to ensure satisfaction with the food and service.
  • Handle any issues or concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience.
  • Hire, train, and manage additional staff (such as servers, kitchen assistants, and chefs) as necessary for the event.
  • Delegate tasks efficiently to ensure smooth operation during the event.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and food handling by supervising team members.
  • Clean and pack up after the event, ensuring that the venue is left in a tidy condition.
  • Dispose of waste responsibly, adhering to local health and safety regulations.
  • Pack up any leftover food and catering equipment for transport back to the base location.
  • Handle invoicing, payments, and budgeting for each event.
  • Track inventory of food supplies and catering equipment, ensuring adequate stock for future events.
  • Maintain communication with clients before, during, and after events, ensuring full satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Food Safety and Hygiene certification is required.
  • Proven experience in catering, cooking, or hospitality, particularly in mobile or event catering.
  • Strong culinary skills, with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and guests.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and food supplies.
  • Willingness to work outdoors or in varying weather conditions.
  • A passion for food and customer service.
  • Creativity in menu planning and presentation.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and troubleshoot problems during events.
  • Reliable and punctual with a professional appearance.
