Roles & Responsibilities

Location: Tanah Mera/Changi

Working Hrs: 42hrs/week

Subject: Business Studies For GCE O Levels


1. Teaching Duties:

  • Deliver academic lessons to assigned classes (20-30 students) at specified SPS locations.
  • Complete the curriculum by designated months before examinations (e.g., for Secondary 2 and GCE levels).
  • Conduct character and citizenship lessons, supervise enrichment activities, mark assignments, set and mark exams, and engage in professional development.


2. Administrative Duties:

  • Invigilate exams and assist with students' learning requests (e.g., book requests).
  • Maintain student records, prepare reports, process examination results, and manage classroom resources.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks assigned by the Principal or relevant authorities as needed.
  • Perform administrative duties daily for up to 3 hours on Mondays to Fridays, in addition to their teaching hours

Qualification & Experience:

  • Possesses a degree in the teaching subject and/or a related field.
  • Holds at least 3 years of relevant teaching experience at the Secondary and/or Post-Secondary levels.
  • Has a good track record for students' results in key national examinations at GCE levels or equivalent.
  • Competent in differentiated teaching for students of diverse ages and abilities
  • Experience in teaching at correctional facilities or with at-risk students.
  • Capability to work closely with uniformed and non-uniformed prison staff
  • Able to manage learning activities for a class size of between 20 and 30 students
  • Able to work closely with uniformed and non-uniformed Prison staff
  • Able to conform to Prison rules and restrictions e.g. standard security checks and screenings, safekeeping/depositing personal belongings such as handphones, wallets, handbags, etc. in lockers before entering into Prison premises.
