Prof George Augustine Group: Assistant Research Officer
Serve as technician in brain research laboratory, with special emphasis on maintaining our mouse colony.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for animal husbandry and maintenance of various transgenic mouse models. Prepare animal protocols such as drafting of IACUC amendment and SOPs for institutional approval.
- To perform molecular biology techniques, such as genotyping (DNA work), PCR and gel electrophoresis.
- Assist in daily lab activities such as preparation of buffers and administrative duties.
- Maintain accurate records of mice genotype results, experimental data, or related paperwork.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Biology, Biotechnology, or related field.
- Previous experience as lab technician desirable
Salary and benefits are commensurable to educational qualifications and working experience of the candidate. Benefits include annual leave, medical and flexi-benefits, etc.
