The role ensures all meals comply with dietary guidelines, promote resident health, and enhance their quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Meal Preparation:
    Plan, cook, and present nutritionally balanced meals tailored to residents' dietary needs, including soft diets, pureed foods, diabetic meals, and allergen-free options.
    Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
  2. Menu Development:
    Collaborate with nutritionists/dietitians to develop menus that meet nutritional requirements and resident preferences.
    Regularly review and update menus, incorporating seasonal ingredients and resident feedback.
  3. Inventory and Procurement:
    Monitor food inventory, manage stock rotation, and minimize waste.
    Order food supplies and ingredients, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
  4. Kitchen Management:
    Supervise kitchen staff, provide training, guidance, and ensure adherence to food handling procedures.
    Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in compliance with health regulations and nursing home policies.
  5. Quality Assurance:
