ABOUT WORLD TABLE TENNIS

The creation of World Table Tennis (WTT) is set to revolutionise the way table tennis is viewed and commercialised across the globe. With significant external investment and commitment to long term partnership, WTT is much more than a vehicle to house current rights. As the dedicated commercial rights entity, for the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF), WTT has the ambition and ability to create new assets and events, capitalising on the unrivalled potential of the sport. The clear aim is to build WTT into a revenue generation powerhouse, ploughing profits back into Table Tennis to continually develop and transform the sport.

World Table Tennis (WTT) is a commercial entity created by the ITTF to grow the professionalisation of table tennis by running ITTF’s commercial and events business. Taking a new, innovative and entrepreneurial approach to how table tennis should manage its competition platform and positioning, WTT has been tasked with re-imagining a new professional event structure, re-energising the entertainment and fan experience, and re-defining the new era.

With 300 million players and over 500 million fans, the potential of the sport of table tennis is waiting to be unleashed.

WTT EVENT AND EXPERIENCE MANAGER

WTT is seeking an energetic and hands-on Event & Experience Manager who is innovative and resourceful. The successful incumbent will be responsible for the spectrum of operational tasks and projects under Events and in line with WTT’s business plan and strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support WTT Head of Event and Experience in the delivery of WTT events and bring the WTT brand to life;
• Attend events as required and assist in the implementation of the event experience delivery;
• Manage broadcast support for all WTT events;
• Collaborate with the partnerships team to ensure branding and pre-event activation implementation;
• Liaise with WTT teams, external vendors and Local Organising Committee (LOC)s regarding event experience and management logistics
• Assist the WTT Chief Events Officer and WTT Head of Event and Experience with daily work;
• Identify innovative and creative ideas to grow the WTT brand from an event delivery perspective;
• Manage the administrative and financial requirements for events in relation to the event bidding process and ensuring events are meeting administrative and financial obligations;
• Develop and ensure event manuals, policies and new documents are up-to-date or produced as required;
• Assist in the identification and assessment of potential WTT host cities;
• Other task as required by the WTT Chief Events Officer and Head of Event & Experience.

REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially in MS Excel.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Desirable:

• Passion for sport and business;
• Ability to work in multiple languages, with a preference in South East Asian Languages
• Ability to work in middle eastern languages will be advantageous.
