Job Purpose

We seek motivated and enthusiastic candidates to join the Legal & Compliance team at Alpha Ladder Finance, a prominent player in the capital markets space, alongside the Asia Green Fund Management team. This internship presents a remarkable opportunity for individuals eager to learn about legal and contractual work complexities across diverse jurisdictions and fund structures, including the CIS—Singapore Variable Capital Company, Cayman Islands, and British Virgin Islands fund frameworks.

Interns will gain firsthand experience and insights into the operations of MAS-regulated financial services entities engaged in capital markets products, secondary market trading, and asset and wealth management across significant financial hubs, including Singapore, China, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi. This role is particularly suited for those who relish challenges and aspire to build a solid foundation in finance and law.

1. Legal Document Drafting and Review:

Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising various legal contracts and documents pivotal to our operations and client interactions. This includes but is not limited to service agreements, partnership contracts, and compliance documents.

2. Legal Research and Publications:

Engage in legal research tasks to support ongoing projects and initiatives. This may involve analyzing Singapore Securities & Futures Act, Company Act, Personal Data Protection Act and relevant laws and regulations, and summarizing findings. Credit will be acknowledged for any contributions made.

3. Meeting Preparation and Documentation:

Prepare comprehensive meeting notes and minutes for internal meetings and discussions with clients or stakeholders. This also includes crafting precise summaries of client matters and business solutions and developing presentations related to wealth management strategies.

4. Administrative Support:

Execute ad-hoc administrative tasks connected to the legal and compliance functions, ensuring the department operates smoothly. This may include maintaining case files, organizing documentation, and other clerical duties as required.

Prior Experience

While any previous experience in legal, compliance regulatory affairs, financial services, wealth management, or fund-related work is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite for applicants. We value a proactive learning attitude and willingness to engage with the assigned tasks.

Qualifications

We are looking for undergraduate law students (Year 2 and above) or postgraduate law students who possess:

· A strong willingness to learn and adapt.

· An acute attention to detail, ensuring that all work meets high standards.

· A genuine interest in the sectors of finance, legal compliance, and contractual work is essential.

Start Date and Duration

· The selected candidates should be able to start immediately.

· The minimum commitment for this internship is 2 months, providing a substantial window for immersive learning and professional development.
