Roles & Responsibilities

The incumbent will specifically be responsible for:
  • Set design criteria, check design calculation and drawings;
  • Assist in preparing fee proposals;
  • Project invoicing;
  • Carry out feasibilitiy work;
  • Advise and report to the Team Leader and Division Manager, on the adequacy of the services;
  • Formalize standards for specifications, drawings etc. in conjuction with Team Leaders and the Division Manager;
  • Resolve any technical problems faced during the project design and/or construction stages;
  • Investigate and recommend on engineering system selection;
  • Handle all corespondences including reports, technical specifications, and other documents relating to the projects;
  • Prepare and monitoring cost and quantity estimates;
  • Attend design / site meetings;
  • Assist Team Leader in internal staff management;
  • Assist in business development activities;
  • Senior engineers must be able to lead projects an team of engineers / technicians under their charge;
  • Senior engineers must become fully familiar with coded and local Authority requirement;
  • Other duties and responsibilities as reasonably required by the Team Leader / Division Manager.

The role holder must have extensive design knowledge and experience for building projects in an engineering consultancy firm.

An ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Recognised Bachelor degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering;
  • Must have design experience in electrical services in residential, commercial or mixed development projects;
  • Registered PE in Singapore will be favourably considered;
  • Experience with project management would be an advantage
