Roles & Responsibilities

Requirements:

  1. Educational Background:
    • At least a diploma in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Experience:
    • A minimum of 8–10 years of experience in IT management, specializing in systems development, cloud infrastructure, and network management.
    • Extensive experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture and cloud-based solutions, with a strong focus on AWS.
    • Proven expertise in managing complex IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and outage resolution.
  3. Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as C# (.NET Core) and JavaScript frameworks like React and Node.js.
    • Strong knowledge of database management systems, including both SQL and NoSQL, with a particular focus on SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
    • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
    • Experience in network security, firewall management, and optimization techniques.
  4. Leadership & Management Skills:
    • Demonstrated exceptional leadership and team management skills, including experience in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
    • Proven expertise in project management, with the ability to define project scopes, establish timelines, and deliver results successfully.
    • Outstanding strategic planning and budget management capabilities.
  5. Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior management.
  6. Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:

    • Proven ability to conduct system audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and requirements.
  7. Certifications:
    • Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Project Management Professional (PMP), are highly desirable.

Job Description

Systems Development (Fulfilment & Transportation)

  • Lead the design and development of comprehensive systems, including the Omni-Channel Order Management System (OMS), Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Transportation Management System (TMS) for last-mile delivery and truck operations.
  • Oversee haulier management solutions for import/export processes involving Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments.

System Architecture Design

  • Architect scalable and high-performance systems utilizing microservices technology to ensure flexibility, resilience, and seamless integration across platforms.

Cloud & Network Infrastructure Management

  • Manage cloud infrastructure using AWS and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for scalable and automated deployments.
  • Oversee network performance and security with tools like Cloudflare for domain management, Web Application Firewall (WAF), and web page optimization.

Project Oversight

  • Define project scopes, establish timelines, and manage the execution of major IT initiatives, including system upgrades, migrations, and outage resolutions, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

Budget Management

  • Strategically oversee the IT budget to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost efficiency while delivering impactful technology solutions.

Team Leadership

  • Provide strategic leadership to the IT team by recruiting, training, coaching, and managing performance to drive team growth and operational excellence.

Talent Development

  • Identify skill gaps within the team and implement professional development programs to enhance capabilities and foster continuous learning.

Security Management

  • Ensure robust data and network security through regular audits and proactive measures, safeguarding organizational assets and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
