The Institute of Mental Health (IMH) is a 2,000-bed acute tertiary psychiatric hospital situated on a 23-hectare campus at Buangkok Green Medical Park. Set amidst serene surroundings, IMH offers a comprehensive range of psychiatric, rehabilitative and counselling services for children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.IMH's tradition of care started in 1928. We were the first mental hospital in Singapore, starting with some 1,000 patients. Since then, many advances have been made in treatment, training, and research. Our treatment integrates evidence-based therapies, supported by the departments of clinical psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, and medical social work, to provide holistic care for our patients. IMH is equipped with modern facilities, with 50 wards for inpatients and seven Specialist Outpatient Clinics.IMH also plays a key role in training the next generation of mental health professionals in Singapore. We train psychiatrists and mental health professionals through the NHG-AHPL Residency Programme for psychiatry and through collaborations with the local tertiary institutions.Job DescriptionYou will support the functions of the Clinical Governance & Quality (CGQ) primarily in the area of quality assurance programmes, hospital policies and processes and secretariat support for committees. In carrying out the various duties, you will be required to work very closely with the senior management, clinical chiefs and doctors, patient care staff and other CGQ staff members.Job ResponsibilitiesPosition 1Provide secretariat support to meetings and committees (e.g., Junior Doctors Meeting, Discharge Oversight Committee, Medical Accreditation & Credentialing Committee) and see to the follow-up of all matters arising on all related activitiesLiaise with Human Resource, Chiefs and Doctors on privileging and credentialing mattersMaintain and update the databases on doctors' privileges and credentialsLiaise with stakeholders to undertake the review of policies for doctors and Medical BoardUndertake any special projects or initiatives as assigned by the supervisor and/or Head of Department.Job ResponsibilitiesPosition 2Provide secretariat support to meetings and committees (e.g. Clinical Quality and Patient Safety) and the scope of work includes writing meeting minutes, drafting meeting slides and coordinating/following up with departments on all matters arising, etc.Provide secretariat oversight of the Peer Review Learning (PRL)'s activities of IMH specialistsOversee/support all IT related activities within the departmentSupport the department in work relating to hospital accreditation / auditsUndertake any special projects or initiatives as assigned by the supervisor and/or Head of Department.

Requirements• Bachelor's degree• Strong critical/analytical thinking and problem solving skills, and resilience to perform well under pressure.• Able to write clearly and succinctly using English.• Able to use Excel to create databases, pivot tables and charts• Meticulous with a keen eye for details with strong ability to follow up on issues/implementation plans.• Good interpersonal skills, a team player, and able to communicate with people at all levels including the senior management.• 1 - 3 years of working experience. Candidate with previous working experience in healthcare is preferred.Company information
