RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implement hypervisor solutions, including architecture, configuration, and deployment.
  • Manage and maintain virtualization infrastructure, including hypervisors, virtual machines, and virtual networks.
  • Monitor and optimise hypervisor performance to ensure maximum efficiency, uptime, and system stability.
  • Apply security patches, manage access control, and enforce compliance with internal and external security standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hypervisor-related issues, providing level 2 and 3 support.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and knowledge management systems for hypervisor infrastructure.
  • Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure the integrity and performance of the hypervisor environment.
  • Assist in evaluating new hardware/software for performance improvements.
  • Perform any duties delegated by the Authority when required, related to hypervisors and associated technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 years of experience with VMware or Nutanix, or other hypervisor technologies.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, including virtual machines, virtual networks, and virtual storage.
  • VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA), Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA), or similar certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) is highly desirable.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
