Our client is a well known company trading in energy raw materials, agricultural products, etc. They have an immediate requirement for a Trader (Agricultural commodities)The incumbent will be responsible for executing and optimizing trades related to agricultural commodities, ensuring efficient and profitable transactions in the competitive agricultural commodities market. The incumbent will be required to handle the business setup processes that includes due diligence, valuation, structuring, closing and operational integration and be responsible for the entire P&L of the business.Responsibilities:1. Trading activities: Execute buying and selling of agricultural commodities while adhering to the company's risk management policies and guidelines2. Market analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis, stay updated with industry trends, monitor supply and demand dynamics, and evaluate geopolitical factors to make informed trading decisions3. Risk management: Manage and mitigate potential market risks associated with agricultural commodities trading by developing and implementing effective hedging strategies4. Relationship building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders to expand the company's trading network and maximise opportunities5. Pricing negotiation: negotiate favourable pricing terms with suppliers and customers to ensure competitive and profitable trading transactions6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant trading regulations, industry standards and policies7. Trade documentation: Accurately maintain all trade- related documentation, contracts and records8. Performance monitoring: Monitor and analyse trading performance, profitability and identify areas of improvement9. Benchmarking: Maintain all historical records of price and cost related to a particular commodity so that benchmarking with respect to time, quality and quantity of the commodity is possible10. Payments: Coordinate with accounts team for issuance of invoices as per contract terms and conditions and coordinate with buyer on accounts receivables11. Logistics: Ensure the timely clearance of goods at destinations and assist in other logistics issues such as storage and transportation12. Recruitment: Liaise with HR department on positions that needs to be created and filled including advising on relevant skillset required for each of the positions identified, take part in the interview and selection process and assist in making the final decision in futureRequirements:Candidate must possess at least a Master's degree in Business Management or equivalentMinimum 10 - 15 years of working experience in the area of trading agricultural commodities globallySound knowledge of sellers and buyers contracts and must have experience in containerized shipment of physical commodity and itsdocumentationPossess strong business or industry insights with strong demonstrable analytical skillsHave excellent connections with overseas buyersHave a track record of successful agricultural commodities trading with global customersExcellent leadership capabilities and interpersonal skillsSalary upto SGD 20K pm (Not limited to,but open for negotiations)Interested candidates who meet most of the above requirements please email resume to .
