Roles & Responsibilities

Job Purpose:
This Department is the nostro reconciliation hub for Bank.

The unit has two functions:

Nostro account reconciliation & the Business Management Support (BMS) that manages static data, feeds processes and production of daily MIS.

The main focus for this role is to perform the day-to-day reconciliations activities and conduct first level investigation on nostro breaks.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- To have understanding on Nostro reconciliation processes and principles

- Perform Nostro reconciliations/investigations and ensure daily Service level Agreements are duly met

- Attend to BAU escalation and Nostro reconciliation enquiries, ensuring breaks resolution within reasonable timelines independently

- To engage stakeholders pro-actively on Nostro reconciliation matters and provide support whenever required

- Enhance Nostro reconciliation automation via close collaboration with stakeholders to create auto-matching rules

- Perform data analytics on internal and external data to derive actionable insights for process improvements and BAU issues resolution

- Performs the monthly General Ledger Attestation (GLAO) ownership process

- Handling of ad hoc tasks when required

Qualification/Experience:
- Degree holder
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in Banking Operations

Skills:
- Experience in nostro reconciliation or banking operations, using SmartStream TLM system or other reconciliation systems will be highly beneficial

- Ability to collect and analyse data and make recommendations

- Able to independently engage Support & Business Units on reconciliation matters as well as to escalate and articulate issues and proposed resolutions

- Strong written, spoken and listening skills are essential

- Good command of software skills, MS Office & Excel skill etc
