As the Demi Chef De Partie, you will support the kitchen staff by performing various tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation. Your responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring that all ingredients and equipment are ready for service. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a strong work ethic.
What will you do?
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
- Help with the cleaning and sanitizing of kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by regularly wiping down surfaces and ensuring that all areas are free from waste and clutter.
- Ensure that ingredients are stored properly, following food safety guidelines and maintaining proper labeling.
- Support the chefs and kitchen staff during service by preparing garnishes, plating, and assisting with basic cooking tasks.
- Assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
- Help with dishwashing duties and ensure that kitchen tools and equipment are clean and ready for use.
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation protocols are followed to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support the kitchen team in any other tasks as needed, including restocking ingredients and organizing supplies.
- Maintain a positive and proactive attitude, working collaboratively with the team.
Who we look for?
- Previous experience in a kitchen or culinary environment is preferred, but not required.
- Happy to go the extra mile to make someone's day.
- Positive attitude, with a passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
- Takes initiative and ownership of your responsibility.
- Candidates with Food Safety Certification is a plus.
