  • RecordingFinancial Transactions: Keeping accuraterecords of all financial transactions, including sales, purchases,receipts, and payments. This involves using accounting softwaresuch as QuickBooks, spreadsheets, or ledger books.
  • Maintaining GeneralLedgers: Updating and maintaining the generalledger, which is a comprehensive record of all financialtransactions.
  • ReconcilingAccounts: Ensuring that the records in theorganization's accounts match the corresponding bank statements andcorrecting any discrepancies. Prepare monthly reconciliations, dataentries, and financial statements.
  • Managing Accounts Payable andReceivable: Tracking and managing money owed bythe company (accounts payable) and money owed to the company(accounts receivable).
  • EnsuringCompliance: Making sure that financial recordscomply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assisting withAudits: Providing information and documentationrequired for internal and external audits.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensurecompliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations; assistwith preparation and review of tax returns.
  • Budgeting andForecasting: Helping in the preparation ofbudgets and financial forecasts.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitoringand recording expenses, ensuring they are correctly categorised andaccounted for.
