Role Overview

The Client Onboarding Specialist is responsible for conducting due diligence reviews for new accounts and ongoing periodic customer reviews. This role ensures compliance with MAS regulations, Group directives, and local policies, working closely with internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth client onboarding



Key Responsibilities:


Customer Due Diligence (CDD) & Documentation Review

  • Conduct comprehensive CDD for new client onboarding and periodic account reviews.
  • Ensure documentation compliance with MAS regulations, Group policies, and local guidelines.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

  • Maintain strict adherence to evolving regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and address deficiencies in due diligence for client acceptance.
  • Update internal policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Work closely with business teams and key stakeholders to resolve CDD-related issues.
  • Ensure timely completion of account opening processes while meeting compliance requirements.
  • Support ad-hoc tasks related to due diligence and compliance.


Key Requirements:


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related banking discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in CDD review, preferably in corporate or private banking.

Technical & Regulatory Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of CDD, AML, and counter-terrorism financing (CFT) regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • ACAMS qualification or Graduate Diploma in Compliance/AML preferred but not mandatory.

This role is ideal for a compliance professional with a strong background in due diligence and regulatory adherence, looking to contribute to a fast-paced banking environment.
