About

The Content Design & Product Writing team makes the TikTok consumer product easy and delightful to use through clear and expressive UX writing. We sit in the US, Singapore, and China, and collaborate closely with stakeholders to launch and iterate product features that engage our viewers and content creators.


About the team

We're looking for a senior writer to collaborate closely with Product Management, Product Operations, Regional Operations, Design, and Localization teams to write campaign content for TikTok LIVE (US). Through clear and expressive writing, you'll create campaign content to educate creators and viewers, and drive engagement of LIVE product features. You'll contribute to content strategy and planning, and have an understanding of how regional campaigns support business goals. You'll also lead a small team of writers based in other regions to ensure content quality and consistency. You're independent, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity and problem-solving. You have experience juggling multiple projects and prioritizing them to have the greatest impact on your team and the company. You're also a strategic communicator, helping to define product narratives in conjunction with your team. You'll write and edit campaign content, GTM materials such as video scripts, in-app feature webpages, newsletter copy, and push notification copy, as well as apply and evolve our style guidelines. You have a strong intuition for writing clear, concise copy that is easily translated and localized for our global audience.


Responsibilities

- Write and own the quality of TikTok LIVE product operations campaigns (US English)

- Collaborate closely with product managers, product operations, regional operations, designers, and localization to set a high bar for overall user experience

- Manage a small team of regional campaign writers based in other regions to ensure quality and consistency of content

- Manage and prioritize projects with multiple stakeholders across China and the US - Drive process improvements to optimize collaboration

- Lead content audits to identify opportunities and drive consistency across regional campaigns

- Contribute to our content standards and be a champion for best practices

- Collaborate with, influence, and drive consensus with stakeholders and their feedback

- Synthesize internal and external feedback to improve content clarity and quality - Complete high-quality work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Experience in content strategy and planning

- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product teams

- Entrepreneurial attitude, ability to deal with rapid changes and situations that are not ideal

- Self-starter who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and stay focused when faced with changing requirements

- Writing portfolio including, but not limited to: feature articles, ad campaigns, blog posts, product launch content, editorial calendar, email newsletters, style guide additions


Preferred Qualifications

- 5 years experience in digital writing for websites, advertising campaigns

- Leadership experience

- Experience working on a global product with international partners
