About The Company

Liberte HR are partnering with our client to open a new modern Filipino restaurant, Hayop, in Amoy Street. Hayop will look to be champion Filipino cuisine locally in Singapore, and represents an extension and elevated interpretation of the popular Philippines-based concept, Manam.

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager plays an active role in providing excellent service and creating amazing dining experiences for all our dining guests, and manages a section of staff in the Front of House to ensure the smooth running of daily operations in line with the Company's direction.

Duties and Responsibilities

Operations

  • Assisting the Restaurant Manager with inventory management, proper planning, and utilization of available resources.
  • Work with RM to improve the FOH Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Work with RM to execute on profitability measures through meeting revenue targets and managing costs.
  • Jointly responsible for achieving sales targets, quality expectations, and service performance.
  • Documentation of daily sales and menu item sales.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team on food feedback and improvement.
  • Ensure all areas, including the entrance and back areas, are clean, neat, tidy, and smell-free before operations.
  • To ensure all equipment is kept in working condition and report any deficiencies.

Service

  • Be able to describe the food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide insights and recommendations of beverages within our program
  • Take the lead in taking food and beverage orders from guests
  • Actively supervise the team to ensure the needs and expectations of all our guests are met and, hopefully, exceeded
  • Play an active role in creating exceptional guest experiences throughout the restaurant

Human Resources

  • Work closely with the RM to execute training initiatives,
  • Assist RM to evaluate, lead, and motivate, new/existing staff.
  • Play an active role in promoting a cooperative, and happy working environment
  • Actively plan work schedules to ensure sufficient, yet cost-efficient, manning for all shifts

Health and Safety

  • Work with RM to organise initiatives to ensure dining space is clean and tidy, exceeding expectations set under the Government and Companys food safety and hygiene standards. To ensure these initiatives are executed.
  • Monitor and ensure proper handling of equipment, and track breakages.

Others

  • Any other tasks assigned to you by Outlet Manager / Assistant Manager.
