They are a Singapore-based ophthalmology practice, dedicated to providing evidenced-based medical and surgical treatments in eye health, utilising FDA approved technologies and techniques.
We specialise in the management of all eye-related health conditions with a sub-specialisation in advanced cataract surgery, anterior segment reconstruction and refractive surgery.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our specialist eye clinic. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services to patients, including conducting eye exams, diagnosing and treating visual problems, prescribing corrective lenses, and managing eye diseases. Your expertise will contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional care and improving the vision health of our patients
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform refractions and eye tests, such as intraocular pressure measurement
- Perform comprehensive eye exams to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and refractive status.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of visual problems, including refractive errors, binocular vision disorders, and ocular diseases.
- Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other optical aids as needed.
- Provide patient education on eye health, vision correction options, and proper eye care practices.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, including exam findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Stay current with advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Clinical evaluation of patients
- Patients counseling on medical and surgical treatments
- Surgical planning of laser refractive, cataract and other surgical cases
- Pre and post op surgical care
- Manifest and cyclo-refraction of adults and children
- Perfom diagnostics e.g HVF, OCT, Corneal Tomography, Biometry, Ultrasonography, Fundal and Anterior Segment Photography etc
- Assist in laser refractive surgery (LASIK, RelexSMILE & PRK)
Candidates will also receive training in concepts and applications of:
- Fundus Photography
- Optical Coherence Tomography
- Biometry/ IOL Calculations
- Ultrasonography
- Refractive Surgery
- Perimetry
- Corneal Topography & Tomography
- Manifest & Cyclo-refraction
- Slit lamp examination
- Binocular indirect fundoscopy
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in Optometry
- Registered with the Singapore Optometrists and Opticians Board
- OOB pre or fully registered are welcome to apply
- 1-2 years’ relevant work experience
- Able to converse in English and Mandarin fluently to handle Mandarin speaking patients
- Strong clinical skills and proficiency in conducting comprehensive eye exams.
- Experience in diagnosing and managing a variety of ocular conditions and diseases.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with patients and colleagues.
