Roles & Responsibilities

Join us as Lay Ministry Staff at Bukit Panjang Methodist Church

Bukit Panjang Methodist Church is looking for Lay Ministry Staff, a key member of the church ministry team, working closely with the pastoral team, church leaders, and various worship congregations. This role is for someone with a heart for serving God and His people, passionate about nurturing, building and equipping our church members into life-long disciples of Christ, finishing the Great Commission. Key administrative and ministerial responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing theological sound biblical teaching, leading small and large groups, and coordinating virtual and in-person events.

Responsibilities

· Provide pastoral care, leadership, and discipleship for the ministry.

· Plan, coordinate, and lead events and programmes, including Discipleship & Nurture (discipling people from new believers to matured believers)

· Teaching & preaching (as and when required)

· Counselling, mentoring & befriending

· Fellowship, outreach events & camps (if any)

· Planning & execution of weekly worship services (as and when required)

· Provide administrative support for the ministry, regular correspondences to youth, families and volunteers and youth calendar updates

· Supervisory of program coordinators and volunteers in relation to ministry events.

· Participate and collaborate in BPMC's staff meetings, trainings, and events.

Qualifications

· Alignment with the doctrinal articles of religion and the general rules of the Methodist Church and its Social Principles, as contained in the Book of Discipline of the Methodist Church in Singapore.

· A team player with a positive attitude who can adapt and thrive in a dynamic organizational environment, whilst striving for continuous improvement through evaluation and feedback.

· Meticulous and conscientious in nature, with the ability to work with confidential information and maintain a high standard of honesty and integrity.

· Ability and willingness to work nontraditional schedules, which include evenings and weekends.

· Keen passion for growing in theological knowledge and an understanding of diverse cultures to better support the ministries to fulfill the Great Commission

We are looking for someone who:

· Has previous experience in church ministry, volunteer leadership roles and/or experience in similar capacities.

· Desires to further dedicate and hone their God-given gifts and skills by serving full-time in a church setting.

· Has excellent communication, service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

· Demonstrated ability to creatively plan and execute programs and events with strong time management & relational skills.

资格要求:


• 认同并遵守新加坡卫理公会《法规》中的卫理宗信仰宣言、一般总纲及社会准则。


• 具有团队合作精神,适应在动态组织中工作,并通过反馈不断改进


• 细心负责,能处理机密信息,并保持高度的诚信和正直


• 愿意在一般办公时间以外工作,包括晚上和周末


• 持续提升神学装备和对多元文化的理解,让事工得以开拓,完成大使命。
