Job Title: Integrated Strategy Director

Key Responsibilities

  • As a solutions team we work horizontally and vertically with our client teams (Integrated Client Leads). Through our Key Account Planning (KAP) process we audit our client challenges and spot opportunities to help them succeed. These opportunities become the basis for our Solutions. They are built specifically to address the client growth opportunity and designed to generate revenue for dentsu.
  • In 2024 our Solutions will mainly focus on growing revenue from our existing clients however new business is an always on pipeline that also requires input from us.
  • Media is our biggest practice, so your job as the Integrated Strategy Director is Media-first; you will work with client and strategy teams to identify opportunities for Media excellence and innovation that grow our client's business and our own.
  • These opportunities will expand beyond the traditional aspects of Media, and harness Entertainment, Gaming, Sports, Creative, and CXM to drive growth. You will be responsible for defining the blend of capabilities required to unlock the opportunity, sell this in to clients, and lead the teams responsible for developing and implementing. To achieve this, you need to have a strong understanding of Media but also embrace horizontality that is drawn from your expertise in Communications Strategy, and knowledge of the value that every team can provide in delivering that strategy.
  • Beyond embracing Radical Collaboration across capabilities, you will also do so across geographies; we are not a regional team of arm-chair consultants, we support our markets by rolling up our sleeves and deeply engaging with their challenges and opportunities. You will be expected to rapidly simplify the complex, provide clear direction, and guide our markets step-by-step as they develop solutions.
  • Finally, we embrace the notion of positive friction; Media is the conduit between Brands and People, so we must collaborate with other agencies in developing communications and experiences that delight People. You will be expected to remain firm in your convictions during collaboration whilst identifying ways to provide value to competitive agencies.
  • Often our Solutions are crafted from our existing best in class suite of dentsu products. We have a portfolio of 10 key products that are built to address specific creative, CX and media opportunities. Sometimes the products span all three service lines such as dashboarding, insight and analytic products. Sometimes we partner externally and sometimes we innovate new products. Each of the products have a clear growth proposition with a clear description of the benefit, the revenue potential, and a clear RACI. They are also mapped to the dentsu way of working.

As a senior member of the Strategy community, your role will include developing the strategic capabilities of our Media colleagues (Strategists, Planners, and Client teams) to elevate the quality of work we deliver.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in planning and strategy working in a marketing agency.
  • Experience in integrated strategy across media, creative, connections planning, communications strategy, brand and digital.
  • Experience working in a marketing pitch team and proven record of winning these pitches.
