Job Description

  • Engage with Global Operations (GOPS) teams (Manufacturing Engineering, Global Procurement, Manufacturing, and their support functions) with emphasis on cost reduction, cycle time & lead time reduction, material flow, quality improvements, and efficient manufacturing methods & processes for new products and their transition to volume manufacturing.
  • Create test sequences, series & parallel testing
  • Able to define basic test requirements & success criteria’s for new components like Pressure transducers, Power supply units, MFC/MFM , leak test etc.
  • Draft out test checklist & procedure in line with product specification & manufacturing best practices.
  • Provide design proposal for test jigs & fixtures to reduce test cycle time & labor hours.
  • Suggest automated test methods to reduce cycle time & labor hours
  • Read electrical schematics & solve manufacturing test issues.
  • Able to resolve PLC testing issues, Robot teach & calibrations issues and leak test / ROR failures

Prerequisites

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in New Product Introduction or New Product Transfer role.
  • Experience in working and interfacing with cross functional teams. Demonstrated ability to influence cross functional organization and drive changes.
  • Experience in implementing Modular testing , System level integrated testing and automated testing.
  • Knowledge to handle PLC software codes, System software scripts etc
  • Skill to read system electrical & Pneumatic schematics.
  • Experience in system leak testing & resolving leak issues.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with proven track record to drive changes and implement changes to benefit the organization

Professional Experience

  • Experience within the Semiconductor/Capital Equipment industry in Manufacturing test , engineering roles in equipment assembly & test
  • Strong understanding of bill of material structure (Product structure, Family tree, Generic vs. Customization, Merge in Transit) and revision changes.
  • A strong understanding of system functional test in both electrical & mechanical.
  • Ability to test & trouble shoot at system level and modular
  • Experience with SAP and/or major ERP/MRP systems and processes at user level
  • Knowledge of new product introduction systems, processes and standards
