Job Title: SAP Basis & Infrastructure Specialist

Key Skills:

Job Objectives

· Good knowledge of SAP Basis Management in an ECC6 platform.


· Technical & administration knowledge in SAP ECC6, SAP Solution Manager, TDMS & SAP S4 HANA system.


· Extensive hands-on experience on all aspects of SAP Basis Administration tasks like Client-Copy, System Refresh, Support Pack upgrades, Kernel Upgrades, Plug-Ins & Add-on installations, applying OSS Notes etc.


· Attend the requests from Application team related to Infra activities such as Database restoration / Database backup.


· Performed Unix, Oracle DB Security Patch & database Hardening.


· Facilitating Promotional Tasks (SIT-UAT-PRD).


· Perform the Health checks on the Application servers / Database on daily basis.


· Good knowledge of SAP DB upgrade activities.


· Good knowledge of analyzing system errors & ABAP dumps.


· Knowledge of User Administration using SAP standard t-codes, CUA or IDM.


· Working knowledge on SAP Patch upgrades & monthly/Quarterly Unix OS Patching activities.


· Able to work independently on standard SAP authorization tasks.


· Good ABAP knowledge of working on a highly customized SAP system.


· Experience in ECC6 Greenfield, Brownfield transformation projects to S4 would be an advantage.


· Aldon setup for the new servers to maintain the source code versioning.


· Job Scheduling using BMC Control-M scheduling tool.


· General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office with expert level knowledge of Excel and working knowledge of MS Access.


Key Responsibilities

· Key responsible tasks is to perform regular System refresh & Client copy from heterogeneous systems under tight project timelines.


· Responsible for daily system health check & performance tuning of worst performing SAP Jobs.


· To work with development team to understand the application requirements from software and infrastructure point of view and suggest / implement the suitable system environments.


· To work with development team to troubleshoot on any performance related issues and find solutions.


· To be able to work with other infrastructure teams like administrators, DBA, OS team, Networks team to complete the tasks as per the schedules.


· To be able to perform application DR testing –automation of DR scripts is mandatory.


· To be able to work with team member, guiding junior staff and take responsibility for deliverables.


Key Requirements

  • Prior experience in SAP ECC6 with AIX platform.
  • Hands-on experience in the Oracle 19c Database maintenance & management.
  • In depth experience in Unix operating system, Oracle DB.
  • Good knowledge on server hardware in VM and Physical server environments.
  • Proficient with Batch & Power Shell scripting.
  • Experience in Performance tuning of queries in ORACLE.
  • To be a quick learner - Gain working level knowledge in any new tools and technology as needed in Finance department
