Job Description – Events and Media Executive


Position Overview:

The Events and Marketing Executive will assist in planning, managing and executing marketing communications functions and events. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, advertising, sales promotions, strategic alliances, events management, corporate communications, production of collateral and public relations initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Communications: Develop and manage marketing communications functions including advertising, sales promotions and strategic alliances.
  • Event Management: Plan, execute, and oversee events, including travel fairs and meetings. Create marketing materials and information kits for these events.
  • Media Relations: Handle media queries, arrange briefings, contribute to public relations efforts and oversee media coverage.
  • Social media: Manage all social media platforms, respond to reviews and ensure effective online presence.
  • Promotions and Special Events: Assist with promotions, special events, and maintain the special events and campaign calendar.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in marketing within a related industry.
  • Skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficient in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) for liaising with associates.

- Strong time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Highly proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

- IT and internet savvy.

- Creative, energetic and resourceful with strategic thinking capabilities.

- Self-motivated and organised.

- Able to work independently and strategically.

- Work Hours: Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
