Job Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior 3D Generalist (Acting as Lead) with experience in fast-paced commercial and advertising projects. This role requires a multi-disciplinary 3D artist who can handle a wide range of tasks, including modeling, texturing, lighting, look development, animation, and rendering, while leading a team in high-speed, deadline-driven productions.

As a lead-level generalist, you will be expected to set the technical and artistic quality bar, optimize workflows, and mentor junior artists while ensuring top-tier visuals that align with brand and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute all aspects of the 3D production pipeline, including modeling, shading, texturing, lighting, animation, rendering, and compositing.
  • Work closely with Creative Director, VFX/CG Supervisor, and Producers to translate client briefs into compelling, high-quality visuals.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 3D artists, providing artistic direction, feedback, and technical support.
  • Oversee look development, ensuring assets match the creative and technical specifications.
  • Develop and implement optimized workflows for real-time and offline rendering (Redshift, Arnold, V-Ray).
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges related to fast-paced commercial and advertising production.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining a high-quality standard.
  • Work efficiently under tight deadlines, adapting quickly to last-minute changes from clients.
  • Stay up to date with emerging tools and techniques in real-time rendering, AI-driven workflows, and procedural generation to enhance efficiency.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in 3D Generalist or Lead Artist roles within commercial, advertising, or high-speed VFX environments.
  • Expertise in Maya, Houdini, ZBrush for 3D asset creation and animation.
  • Strong knowledge of Substance Painter/Mari, or Photoshop for texturing.
  • Advanced experience with Redshift, Arnold for photorealistic rendering.
  • Ability to work fast, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of cinematography, lighting, and composition to enhance storytelling in commercial VFX.
  • Experience with procedural workflows in Houdini or Maya (Mash) is a plus.
  • Solid grasp of rigging and animation principles (not necessarily as an animator, but as a lead for quick turnarounds).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience in leading small teams and mentoring junior artists.
  • Experience with real-time engines (Unreal Engine) is a plus for commercial work requiring quick previews or AR/VR applications.
