Roles & Responsibilities

· Acts as Head of Ethics and Compliance and Data Protection Officer (DPO), and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for Singapore licensed trust company under its Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML-CFT) obligations.

· Establishes and maintains appropriate systems and controls (including documented policies and procedures) to ensure compliance with Singapore AML-CFT laws and regulations.

· Provides AML-CFT compliance oversight of the trust business and all associated activities.

· Ensures regular audit of and adherence to the Group's AML-CFT programme.

· Advises the board on an ongoing basis on all matters arising from the AML-CFT programme and, more generally, on compliance matters.

· Reports periodically to the board on the outcome of controls which are performed in accordance with the audit and control programme.

· Maintains comprehensive records of all aspects of the business impacted by compliance-driven decisions, including but not limited to client onboarding and risk classifications of clients.

· Stays abreast of the current legislation as well as the evolving regulatory landscape to ensure that all issues relating to operational and compliance matters in the conduct of our trust business are well understood and correctly applied.

· Assumes primary responsibility for the reporting of suspicious activity.

· Prepares and organises appropriate training for staff on an ongoing basis to ensure AML-CFT compliance.

· Receives and processes all internal suspicious activity reports.

· Acts as the point of contact of the Monetary Authority of Singapore in matters of licence and general conduct of business.

· Prepares and liaises with the Resident Managers the response to requests received from the regulatory authorities.

· Review inward-outward transfers and client reviews.

· Assumes any other duties associated with the position.
