Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated Business Analysis and Project Management skills – Able to work on projects in banking domain, particularly in the Wealth Banking domain.
  • Drive and lead analysis & functional design, functional solution validation, workshops under assigned domain to ensure consistent and complete requirement and solution coverage.
  • Capture the voice of customers in order to scope the changes: Strong analytical and domain management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Think outside the box - Always consider business needs and be prepared to challenge the stakeholders. Any solution must be cost-optimum.
  • Produce detailed functional specifications to allow business requirements to be understood and delivered by the Product and Technology teams.
  • Manage functional designs for new features or adaption.
  • Define and bridge the gap between the business requirement & functional solution and development & testing, work with the Stream Leads and developers regarding the delivery: scope, resources, planning.
  • Formalize the business requirements (i.e. translate into functional specification): document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions (As-Is and Target workflows), use cases, scenarios.
  • Translate business workflow/UI/UX into detailed product backlog, consisting of user stories.
  • Detail functional specifications for each step in the journey e.g. validations of fields, user scenarios in close collaboration with digital teams.
  • Mediate Business and Technical discussions and in case no agreement can be reached, take the decision by considering technical and economic feasibility, business strategies, architectural guidelines and other constraints with the approval of the project manager.
  • Able to work as the product owner, in an agile & scrum way to drive the epic and user stories to completion.
  • Create & review test scenarios, support business and function teams for UAT, end user manuals and conduct trainings for end-to-end project delivery.
  • Organize and prepare the training plan and training materials for the purpose of training the Bank Front End & Operational Users.
  • Conduct user training to the Bank Front End & Operational Users.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal control standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
  • Acquire & maintain knowledge in various areas of banking products and processes, and actively participate in team mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Plan and execute cutover & business readiness tasks with coordination with all relevant parties to ensure smooth delivery launch.
  • Report on the progresses, risks and issues. Escalate to the project manager / delivery manager on a timely manner.
  • Act as subject matter expert at specific business areas and able to go deep into requirement / solution gaps with support from product architects.
  • Act as subject matter expert in the banking domain to assist in the pre-sales activities of HCL and participate in demand generation from time to time.
  • Able to interact with the Teams in APAC region such as Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, etc.

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology/ Business Administration or similar.
  • Strong domain knowledge and experience in FI industry like Customer Onboarding/Lending/Cards & Payments/Wealth/Investment/Private Banking etc.
  • 10 -15 years of total experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in the Financial Technology (Wealth Management, Core Banking), Avaloq preferred.
  • Good at Avaloq Core Platform; Avaloq certification is a plus.
  • Good Knowledge of Financial and Global Market Regulations.
  • Knowledge of Trading, Middle Office, and BackOffice platforms such as Bloomberg, Avaloq, FinIQ, will be beneficial.
  • Experience in Digital Banking and Mobile Technologies and Services will be added advantages.
  • Comprehensive end-to-end BA experience and skills – project planning, requirements gathering and analysis, UAT management, User Training, Go-live readiness, etc.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills and accustomed to Agile project delivery.
  • Experience in UI/UX workflow and design.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and learning ability, can quickly adapt to deal with new disciplines/projects.
  • Strong Communication & Presentation Skills with a flair for writing documents & ability to present to various audiences.
  • Structured, organized and results oriented approach, demonstrating a high level of diligence and attention to detail and the ability to ensure high quality and consistency in the deliverables produced.

  • Client Management knowledge: Static data knowledge, Client Modelling, Client onboarding process, CRM module; OR
  • Portfolio Management knowledge: Portfolio Desk, Performance Desk, Investment Policy Statement, Asset Allocation, Benchmark, Model Portfolio, Investment Proposition etc.; OR
  • Transactional Modules knowledge:

o Cash Related Transactions (FX, Money Market, OTCs, Payment, Money Transfer etc)

o Investment Related Transactions (Asset Management, Time Series management, Stock Exchange, Settlement, Corporate Actions, Reconciliation etc)

o Credit/Finance (Facility/Financing, Limit, Loan, Guarantee, Other security Financing)

o Cost & fees

o Compliance rules and setup

o Regulatory

  • Migration Knowledge: ETL (extract transform load), Static and Dynamic Data Migration, Migration Workflows and Activities, Migration Strategies and Planning, Data Mapping; OR
  • Project Management: both waterfall and Agile methodology.
