The Manager for the NBS Work-Study Degree Programme (WSDeg)will oversee the entire lifecycle of the program, includingonboarding new employers, managing outreach and events, ensuringeffective placement processes, and maintaining strong relationshipswith employers and students. This role requires exceptionalorganisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills tofacilitate a seamless and successful WSDeg experience for allparticipants.

KeyResponsibilities:

BusinessDevelopment & StakeholdersManagement:
  • Regular outreachto potential employers
  • Regular follow ups withpotential employers to secure signed agreements and Learning &Development (L&D) Plans
  • Onboard new WSDegemployers, including creation of accounts and explainingprocesses.
  • Outreach and constant follow upswith existing WSDeg employers to secureroles/opportunities


EventPlanning:
  • Plan WSDeg cycleoutreaches and initiatives, including setting objectives, targetaudience, format, budget, date, venue, and managingvendors.
  • Prepare and design publicitymaterials, deciding on the modes ofpublicity.
  • Execute outreach and engagementevents for employers andstudents.


ProgrammeOperations and Customer ServiceManagement:
  • Assess all rolesposted on NBS CareerFIT for suitability and liaise with employersfor any required amendments.
  • Monitor and manageall placement activities, reporting and resolving any discrepanciesand issues.
  • Inform students about internships,procedures, and performanceexpectations.
  • Ensure timely communication withstudents regarding available opportunities and applicationprocesses/
  • Conduct weekly engagement sessionsfor students.
  • Address students' questions andconcerns, troubleshoot account issues, and follow up on students'eligibilityrequirements.


End-to-EndProcess Management:
  • Overseethe entire process for the NBS WSDeg
  • Monitorplacement progress
  • Resolve internship-relatedissues arising from students or employers, including disciplinarycases and conducting service recovery
  • Follow-upand manage feedback from employers and students, ensuring timelyresponses
  • Suggest improvements to internshippractices, operations, and customer service processes to enhancethe programme's effectiveness
  • Verify theeligibility of offers based on dates, stipends, andagreements
  • Work with the multiple departmentsto ensure placements are accurately recorded and processes arecleared
  • Work with the Academics team to ensurecourse registration requests and criteria areaddressed


StrategyManagement andImprovements:
  • Continuouslyseek new ideas and methods to improve work performance and outcomesfor the team.
  • Implement activities for workimprovements within the team and with other departments, adoptingtechnologies to enhance work outcomes.
  • Updatethe WSDeg Student Self-Checklist, FAQs for employers, and infodecks/video guides for employers.
  • Gatherfeedback from employers and students post-cycle to identify areasfor improvement and implement necessarychanges.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor'sdegree in Business, Education, Human Resources, or a relatedfield
  • At least 4 to 6 years of experience ininternship/training management, service delivery, programmanagement, career services, or a related area, preferably intertiary education
  • Strong organizational andproject management skills
  • Excellentcommunication (both oral and written) and interpersonalskills.
  • Experience in providing career coachingand/or consultation support isadvantageous.
  • Understanding of businessdevelopment, customer service management, and businessoperations
  • Ability to work with diverse groupsof stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independentlyand as part of ateam.
