Position: Buyer
Location: Serangoon
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM
Salary: ~$4200/month + AWS + VB

Job Overview

As a Buyer, you will support the implementation of supply chain goals for a set of low volume/high mix parts and assemblies. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the cost, quality, delivery, and on-hand inventory for a subset of suppliers within the Asia-Pacific (AP) region.

Essential Responsibilities

• Daily Monitoring: Track daily reports, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), and the Vendor Portal to ensure timely delivery of products to the manufacturing site.
• Procurement: Acquire materials for both manufacturing and aftermarket needs.
• Supplier Performance Evaluation: Assess supplier performance based on metrics such as cost, quality, and delivery. Resolve all accounts payable issues and interface on technical matters.
• Supplier Development: Identify and develop new supply sources as necessary.
• Coordination: Coordinate purchasing activities with the manufacturing, aftermarket, and engineering departments.
• Lean Programs Implementation: Implement lean programs with suppliers to enhance efficiency.
• Inventory Management: Maintain inventory levels according to planned requirements.
