As a Senior Early Intervention Educator at Kaleidoscope Therapy Centre, you play a critical leadership role in shaping the educational strategies that support the developmental and learning needs of children with developmental delays. This position involves overseeing the implementation of the centre's curriculum, mentoring junior staff, and leading innovative projects to enhance educational outcomes. Senior Early Intervention Educators are pivotal in bridging the gap between theory and practice, applying advanced pedagogical knowledge to create impactful learning experiences in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development
- Lead the development and refinement of the early intervention curriculum, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of children with developmental delays.
- Mentor and support junior educators in implementing effective teaching strategies and lesson plans.
Leadership in Educational Programs
- Oversee the execution of educational programs, ensuring they are delivered effectively across the centre.
- Initiate and lead innovative projects aimed at enhancing educational outcomes for children.
Comprehensive Assessment and Evaluation
- Conduct detailed assessments to track the progress and development of children, using the data to refine and adjust educational strategies.
- Prepare and review comprehensive reports on children’s progress and lead case review meetings with multidisciplinary teams.
Family and Community Engagement
- Develop and lead parent training sessions and workshops, providing critical information and strategies to support children's development at home.
- Act as a senior liaison between the centre and external agencies or professionals, enhancing collaborative practices.
Professional Development and Mentorship
- Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of the latest research and practices in early intervention.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior educators, facilitating a culture of professional growth and learning within the centre.
Operational and Administrative Leadership
- Participate in the strategic planning and operational management of the centre’s educational services.
- Assist in the development and management of the centre's budget related to educational resources and materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an early intervention setting with progressive responsibilities.
- Experience in educational program design and implementation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
Desired Skills
- Specialist certification or training in early intervention or special education.
- Experience in conducting workshops and training for parents and professionals.
