[What the role is]
The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development and transformation of the built environment sector, in order to improve Singapore’s living environment. BCA oversees areas such as safety, quality, inclusiveness, sustainability and productivity, all of which, together with our stakeholders and partners, help to achieve our mission to transform the Built Environment sector and shape a liveable and smart built environment for Singapore.

You will be a policy officer responsible for formulating, implementing, and reviewing strategies to achieve key industry transformation outcomes for the Facilities Management (FM) industry.

[ What you will be working on]

You will be part of a highly motivated team working on transforming the Facilities Management (FM) industry. You will be a policy officer responsible for formulating, implementing, and reviewing strategies to achieve key industry transformation outcomes, including uplifting of the FM workforce. Your work will include:

  • Engaging public- and private-sector stakeholders to understand challenges and needs, to inform policy design and to ensure smooth policy implementation

  • Monitoring and reviewing existing strategies to meet key transformation outcomes

  • Designing new strategies to address emerging trends and industry needs

  • Collecting, analysing, and reporting data on workforce and other industry indicators

  • Organising Community of Practice sessions to facilitate cross-sharing of knowledge

In the course of your work, you will have the opportunity to work closely with colleagues from other Groups within BCA, peers from various agencies/ministries, and industry partners to achieve the job outcomes.

[What we are looking for]

We are looking for a resourceful, energetic, and motivated officer who wishes to actively shape Singapore’s built environment.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Facilities Management, Built Environment, or related disciplines

  • Strong writing, speaking, and presentation skills

  • Data collection, analytics, and visualisation skills (e.g. proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or Tableau)

  • Ability to work independently and function effectively within a team

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new work scopes

  • Preferably related experience and/or domain knowledge of the Built Environment and the Facilities Management sector
