About Us

The Strategy and Plans team plays an integral role in shaping the future of GovTech. We support the CEO and his leadership team in developing GovTech’s long-term vision and strategy, and driving change and alignment across the organisation.

The Deputy Director of Strategy Planning will be a critical leader of GovTech. Tapping on strong stakeholder management, operational, and strategy experience, you will develop and drive programmes and strategies that enable GovTech to deliver on its vision. You will also rely on strong coaching and management abilities to lead the Strategy team and be responsible for their development and delivery.

What you will be working on:

  • Developing long-term vision and direction: Anchor team in creating and communicating a clear vision for the organization’s future growth and success. This may involve conducting market research and analysis, identifying key trends and opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, setting strategic goals and objectives, allocating resources, and establishing metrics to measure progress.
  • Leading strategic planning: Work with the CEO and leadership team to continually improve and make progress on the organization’s objectives, including identifying trends and emerging issues that impact our strategies and proposing alternative courses of action and resources needed to achieve the organization’s goals. This may include identifying and Communicating and aligning strategy: Effectively communicate the organization’s strategy to stakeholders and ensure that all levels of the organization are aligned with and working towards the same goals.
     
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders: Work closely with senior management, stakeholders and teams across GovTech to drive initiatives toward intended outcomes.  This will include leading cross-functional teams by influence, fostering critical partnerships that support the implementation of strategic initiatives and projects and ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget.
     
  • Managing risks and challenges: Formulate plans, initiatives, programmes and measures to support implementation of our strategies, Identifying and managing risks and challenges that may impact the organization’s ability to achieve its goals, and develop contingency plans as needed.
     

What we are looking for:

  • Proven track record of leadership and organisational abilities in developing and implementing successful strategic plans and experience leading teams and managing large-scale projects, including the ability to inspire and motivate others, lead cross-functional teams, and manage conflicts effectively
     
  • Care for people and passion for developing and helping others succeed
     
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with ability to build strategic partnerships in organisation to influence and communicate their vision and strategies to senior management, employees, and other stakeholders.
     
  • A deep understanding of the industry, including key trends, competitors, customer needs and the policy environment.
     
  • Critical and creative thinking, and analytical with strong capability to identify the big picture quickly and understand how different parts of the organization fit together. This includes the ability to identify trends and opportunities to develop and implement effective strategies to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Ability to analyse data and synthesize disparate trends to provide meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making.
  • Ability to understand the policy environment and enhance it by seeding insights about the future, including looking at policies from a macro level and understanding inter-linkages down to implementation.
