Your Career

We are in search of a highly driven Data Analyst Intern to join our JAPAC Go-To-Market Shared Services team. As an intern, you will be pivotal in a data analysis project focusing on partner engagement in the JAPAC region. Your insights will aid in uncovering trends and correlations to enhance business outcomes. By the end of the internship, you will have a comprehensive understanding of Palo Alto Networks' business and value proposition.

Your Impact

  • Collaborate with key business stakeholders and regional teams (sales operations, data analysts, strategy, and planning) to provide insights, reports, visualizations, and analysis for solving critical business challenges and optimizing growth opportunities.
  • Lead a data analysis initiative on partner engagement in JAPAC, utilizing methodologies like Recency/Frequency/Monetary to pinpoint potential partners in the region.
  • Handle intricate data sets spanning sales, technology, and location to conduct multivariate analytics.
  • Passionate about leveraging big data to establish, implement, and monitor business KPIs, as well as offering data-driven insights to the business.
  • Delve into transactional databases for in-depth analytical exploration, identifying trends and correlations to drive better business outcomes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support cross-functional projects.

Your Experience

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in data science, artificial intelligence, data analytics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Proficient in data handling, manipulation, and statistical analysis for generating trends, forecasts, observations, and reports/dashboards.
  • Effective and professional communication skills (verbal and written) with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to grasp business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Adept at data and visualization with excellent presentation and storytelling abilities.
    Self-motivated with the capability to work autonomously.
  • Keen eye for detail and adept at working under tight deadlines.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets with the ability to write advanced macros.
  • Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Data Studio) is a plus.
    Available for a 3-month full-time commitment and able to start immediately.
