Role Summary

We are seeking a passionate and driven Data Science Intern to join our dynamic Product & Tech team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup environment, contributing to the transformation of Southeast Asia's manufacturing sector. As a Data Science Intern at Factorem, you will play a crucial role in developing clean and organized data rooms, enabling efficient data extraction and analysis. Your work will directly impact our decision-making process, empowering our team to make data-driven choices and drive commercial success.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales & marketing, R&D, and business development, to understand data needs and requirements.
  • Work closely with our data engineering team to curate, clean, and organize diverse datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain structured data rooms for easy access, retrieval, and analysis by team members across different departments.
  • Employ data visualization techniques to present insights and findings in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Assist in building predictive models, identifying trends, and generating actionable insights to support business objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of machine learning models to enhance decision-making processes.
  • Actively participate in team discussions, brainstorming sessions, and contribute innovative ideas to improve data-related processes.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of data cleaning, preprocessing, and transformation techniques.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Enthusiasm for exploring and applying machine learning concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Highlight any interesting side projects or products that you have worked on and built in the past - this will give us an idea of what you are passionate about.
