Primary Overview:

  • Boost market share in the Abbott Molecular (MDx) sector by supporting the regional sales team in placing Alinity m instruments within APAC.
  • Create and implement workflow tools and strategies to enhance instrument placements, while meeting profitability targets.
  • Manage Laboratory Design Projects aimed at optimizing workflow efficiencies.
  • Lead a cross-functional team comprising Applications Specialists, Service Engineers, Commercial Sales leaders, Finance, Marketing, and Customer laboratory team members to develop an integrated strategy for executing workflow project activities and initiatives, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • The Lab Design Manager plays a key role in partnering with peers and senior sales management to propose strategies for the MDx APAC Organization.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear workflow project objectives, strategies, timelines, and milestones.
  • Define customer goals and lead efforts to translate them into impactful projects benefiting both customers and the business.
  • Identify resource needs, costs, and timelines.
  • Eliminate barriers to project completion.
  • Deliver project progress reports to keep management and the sales team updated.
  • Utilize advanced knowledge and tools to analyze data and recommend process improvements.
  • Utilize ingenuity and creative thinking to drive innovative solutions.
  • Identify and manage workflow opportunities, collaborating with the sales team, customers, and managers to propose actions addressing issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science/Engineering or related fields.
  • 12-15 years of overall work experience, with at least 7 years in the Diagnostics market, understanding relevant regulations and standards impacting IVDs and Biologics.
  • Thorough knowledge of hospital laboratory operations, especially financial and operational aspects.
  • Previous experience in technical applications for diagnostics testing is advantageous.
  • Proficient in leading cross-functional projects or initiatives.
  • Preferably hold a six sigma green or black belt certification or possess experience in Lean operations.
  • Adept at troubleshooting problems and process bottlenecks, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail, continuously striving for operational improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Show proper etiquette and empathy in customer interactions.
  • Ability to collaborate with various internal Abbott cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Commercial Excellence, and Technical Support.
  • Capable of multitasking, meticulous work, and independently handling challenging situations.
  • Open and adaptable to changing priorities and demands.
