THE OPPORTUNITY:

As the leader of Warm-Water Aquatic Animal Health R&D operations in Singapore, you will oversee both the team and facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations (GLP, GMP, SHE, Local/International). Your role involves managing the operations essential for research and development that culminates in the timely introduction of commercially viable vaccines and therapies.

Reporting to the Global Species Head, with a dotted line to the Director Aqua R&D, your responsibilities include the daily management of the Company and adherence to relevant regulations. You will provide updates to the Global Species Head and Country Council on leadership, financial status, and other operational aspects, implementing necessary measures for compliance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead the R&D operational team, fostering an inclusive culture that motivates employees through effective communication and a positive team environment
  • Manage the organizational aspects to cultivate expertise and proficiency within the staff for all operations
  • Oversee all site assets, ensuring optimized efficiency from budgeting to retirement
  • Maintain a GLP quality system for R&D activities, uphold Company and local EHS standards, and ensure adherence to Animal Welfare requirements
  • Supervise Quality control activities and Quality Assurance on site
  • Potentially engage in R&D discussions and activities

REQUIREMENTS

  • Candidates should have a Ph.D. (or equivalent work experience) in Biology, Veterinary Science, or related fields with over 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical R&D, preferably in fish vaccine development or aquatic veterinary practices. Experience leading an R&D team or projects is a plus.

Proficiency in Norwegian is preferred but not mandatory.
