The Role
  • Provide a positive customer experience with friendly and courteous service
  • Perform assigned duties diligently at the work station by observing the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety and Work Safety Standards
  • Weigh, clean and cut all types and sizes of seafood/fish products for customers accurately according to standards and requirements
  • Attend to customers' queries and needs promptly in a friendly, courteous and efficient manner to achieve customer satisfaction
  • Apply product knowledge by assisting customers in their purchase by advising them what is ideal for the type of food to be prepared
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, cleanliness, personal grooming and hygiene at all times
  • Assist the Department Manager in handling shrinkage by not over-merchandising, weighing customers' purchases accurately, declaring wastage accurately, and performing accurate ordering and receiving
  • Follow all shrink control measures to reduce losses in the department
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as per assigned
About You
  • Demonstrates good teamwork and is committed and willingness to learn
  • Passionate about customer service and process oriented
  • Possessing knowledge in the various types of fresh produce and products will be helpful
  • Possessing a Food Safety Hygiene Certificate will be a plus
  • Required to be able to carry/lift heavy goods
  • To have the flexibility to work on a rotating shift, including weekends & public holidays
