The Role: Senior Sales Specialist, Credit & Risk Solutions

The Team: S&P Global Market Intelligence's Credit & Risk Solutions (C&RS) business unit powers credit and risk management workflows by bringing together cutting-edge analytics, differentiated data, technology, and workflow solutions to help customers stay ahead of the competition, pinpoint risk exposures, and spot opportunities in an unpredictable market environment.

The Role:

You will join a specialist sales team known for the strength and track record of its members. As a member of the APAC C&RS sales & presales team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and driving strategic, complex solution selling on large opportunities characterized by a combination of technical, business, financial, and resource management obstacles within some of our largest clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Generation - Drive ambitious sales growth, meeting or exceeding your new business sales quota
  • Develop and nurture strong client relationships with the 'C-Suite' and Senior Managers within their organization
  • Optimize revenue by prioritizing opportunities and engaging clients proactively
  • Develop industry-specific knowledge necessary to have credible diagnostic conversations with clients
  • Develop a strong understanding of the value proposition for our offerings as it relates to your market
  • Orchestrate between multiple sales teams, business line stakeholders, and partners to ensure a total credit or risk management solution is presented to the customer
  • Represent and promote S&P Global core values
  • Contribute to the business strategy through a deep understanding of key industry news and events
  • Provide timely and accurate pipeline updates and revenue forecasts

Core Skills and Requirements:

You are a results-driven sales professional with a strong understanding of the commercial lending and investment workflow and comparative solutions, experienced in selling complex enterprise solutions to such clients

  • Minimum 15 years of consultative sales experience in the Asia Pacific region
  • A comprehensive understanding of regulatory and credit risk/fixed income/credit markets gained via experience at financial institutions or technology firms is highly desirable
  • A strong network of senior contacts in ASEAN financial markets is essential
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, active listening, and confidence in delivering product demonstrations are essential
  • Interest in solving problems for clients through the delivery of financial solutions and analytical tools
  • Strong personal integrity and a confident and positive manner
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; demonstrates drive, initiative, energy, and a sense of urgency
  • Work effectively in a team-based environment as well as independently
  • Desire and flexibility to learn and grow in an ever-changing environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. MBA/CFA/CMA/MAppFin is a plus
