What is the opportunity?

As a Trust Officer, you will be reporting to the Head of Trust Administration. You will be primarily assisting with the day to day administration duties of Trust structures managed in Singapore.

What will you do?

  • Responsible for a portfolio of high net worth clients Trust relationships.
  • To act as an effective member of the fiduciary team, and to assist other members of the team to ensure that all business objectives are met, and all operational standards and controls are complied with, to maintain a sustainable fiduciary business.
  • To help maintain the highest level of trust and company administration to minimize business risk, and to adhere to a culture of compliance with policies, and appropriate risk management.
  • Responding to requests from clients, family offices, outside professionals and Banking Teams for execution of transactions, provision of information, FATCA and CRS requirements, regulatory requirement.
  • Maintaining fiduciary documentary files according to guidelines and procedures to ensure that legal, fiduciary and record keeping responsibilities are performed and that there is evidence thereof.
  • Read, understand and review financial statements and to liaise with the firm's accounts department regarding the preparation of financial statements for both trusts and companies.
  • Assist in updating and/or drafting new procedures to reflect the latest regulatory environment.
  • Handle any ad hoc projects as assigned.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • The role would typically require at least 7 years' experience in handling Trust administration matters
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Participate in meetings with Wealth Planners, Relationship Managers and clients as and when required
  • Accounting, Estate Planning or other business related qualifications
  • Good technical ability in trust laws for respective jurisdictions and good operational knowledge on various types of trusts available for respective jurisdictions
  • Good knowledge of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Team player and self-motivated

Nice-to-have

  • STEP qualified or Accounting degree is a nice-to-have
