About the DepartmentUOB Travel Planners began as a small travel agency in 1974 and has grown in size and reputation through dedicated professionalism and service excellence. In 1990, UOB Travel Planners became a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore's leading international banking group - the United Overseas Bank Group . As such, UOB Travel Planners is in the unique position of being the only travel agency in Singapore to have sound financial backing, reliability and security.
Job ResponsibilitiesThe MICE Head of Sales will play a pivotal role and be responsible for leading the sales strategy, driving revenue growth and managing a team of MICE professionals. The role requires a deep understand of the MICE industry, exceptional leadership skills and a proven track record in sales.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy, plans and tactics to generate new business
• Identify new market opportunities and customer segments to amplify revenue streams to achieve revenue targets
• Proactively soliciting new and existing corporate and MICE accounts to meet and exceed sales goals
• Collaborate with business units to penetrate key markets and align overall sales goals
• Prepare regular sales reports and analysis for senior management
• Build industry relationships, nurture client engagements and expand market presence
• Attend industry events, trade shows and conferences to network and be updated on the industry's latest trends and innovation
• Minimum 10 - 12 years of experience in sales within the MICE industry, preferably with regional experience and with at least 6 years in a leadership role
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
• Experience in developing creative
• Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills
• Results-driven with a proactive approach
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Effective leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
