Currently, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our culinary team and contribute to providing remarkable dining experiences.

Job Description: Joining us as a Commis Chef means playing a vital role in our kitchen, collaborating closely with our Head Chef and team to prepare and present top-notch dishes. This role offers you the chance to learn and progress in a supportive setting, while also participating in the creation of innovative menu items.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and cooking brunch and main dishes according to our recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented at the highest quality and consistency.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
  • Support inventory management and ensure proper ingredient storage.
  • Assist the Head Chef and senior kitchen staff in daily tasks.
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Offer input on new dishes and menu enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid WSQ Food Safety & Hygiene certificate.
  • Passionate about cooking with a keenness to enhance culinary skills.
  • Prior experience in a kitchen setting preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
