About the job:

  • Lead and motivate partners/suppliers to actively participate in daily network operations, ensuring the stability and reliability of network/voice infrastructure.
  • Oversee the monitoring and management of the LAN/WAN network, ensuring seamless connectivity across all data centers, sites, and extranets.
  • Utilize scripting (Python) to automate routine network tasks, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual errors.
  • Provide support, configuration, and management of Cisco Routers, Switches, and event correlation appliances throughout various project implementation phases.
  • Maximize network performance by monitoring, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with Network Architects on network optimization.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for all network operations issues, managing communications in realtime on a 24x7 basis.
  • Engage with business units and external vendors to manage operational issues effectively.
  • Deliver comprehensive product knowledge to support the network's infrastructure.
  • Offer daily operational support for telecom services, including IPT password resets, configuration setups, and equipment deployment.
  • Manage relationships and project requirements with external vendors, such as carriers and cabling contractors.
  • Adhere to and enforce Change Management policies and procedures for any network changes.
  • Maintain and update all networkrelated documentation and risk assessments as required.
  • Assist the Architect team with new infrastructure implementations.
  • Participate in IT projects aimed at enhancing existing infrastructure.

About you:

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Holder of CCNP certification at the minimum; CCIE is a strong advantage.
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the financial or telecommunications industry, with an excellent understanding of WAN, LAN, and Voice technologies and network operations.
  • Expertise in connectivity and data center network infrastructure design, implementation, and support.
  • Experience with Firewall implementation and support; Checkpoint certification is highly beneficial.
  • Strong background in Automation and Tooling, with experience in automating network tasks using Python, Ansible, or other programming languages.
  • Proficient in network monitoring and telemetry tools (e.g., SolarWinds, cPacket, CISCO ISE, ServOne).
  • Experienced in ITIL frameworks and creating network documentation for operational support.
  • Wellversed in Change, Incident, and Problem management within the banking industry.
  • Proficient in SharePoint and experienced with Vendor management.
  • Understanding of risk management and the ability to work closely with the Bank's information security and risk team.

Technical and Behavioral Competencies:

  • Good knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, and DWDM Optical Transport technologies.
  • Ability to manage and collaborate with external vendors such as carriers and cabling contractors for daily and project requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English.
