CGC is a small consultancy firm that relocated to Singapore in 2019. We provide operational, technical and project management support to global customers from FMCG to consumer electronics. Our strategic partnership with Stephen Gould delivers effective, cutting-edge solutions for their customers product, print and packaging needs.

Job Purpose


This role is responsible for the operational functions on Change Orders (COs) for all CGC customers where change management and implementation is needed to deliver solutions on time and in full.

The remit starts at establishing change order details and ends at the after action review. This role supports all engineering operational deliverables within that process.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in scoping out project and operational requirements on each program CGC is leading on.
  • Review all operational issues impacting the change requests and prepare contingency.
  • Identify potential problems and manage the resolution of the highlighted issue.
  • Define the targeted authorisation & implementation date.
  • Fully understand the issue and requirements, and raise CO with proposed solution clearly documented on CO.
  • Coordinate the part revision and drawing revision clearly and ensure CO & part/drawing revision sequence is up to date.
  • Ensure engineering operational deliverables are on time and completed in full.
CO deliverables

  • Prepare Change Orders (CO) to define what is needed.
  • Check through and confirm the affected models and SKUs of existing products.
  • List and report the necessary deliverables require on each CO.
  • Need to manage the CO Deliverables' status and authorise CO on time.
  • Raising New Part/Variant on Smartsheet.
  • Ensure engineer drawings are prepared and up to date.
  • Ensure all CO listed certifications are prepared, such as Prop65/ Banned & Restricted Substances /ROHS declarations.
  • Part Cost recorded on Smartsheet.
  • Implementation plan on Smartsheet.
  • Request Inside PM issue drawings to Prime Contractor/Manufacturer. (Lets discuss this, for NPI
  • Example Magpul)
  • Assembly configuration linking parts and variants to assemblies.
  • Technical Drawings (responsible for the arrangement and getting approvals of technical drawings).
  • Uploading Technical Drawings to Smartsheet.
  • BOM cost approval and updating the BOM.
  • Logging of test reports and reporting results.
  • Financial Justifications (FJ) relating to cost variability to the part and BOM cost.
  • CAPEX Administration, raising and administering the CAPEX for all Graphics and Packaging related expenditure.
Concession deliverables

  • Prepare Concession Approval if required.
  • Prepare Fasttrack Approval Workflow (when required).
  • Concession Review and follow up.
  • To request implementation plan/dates from Customers with essential information provided.
  • To review the CO implementation plan against the CO changing mode immediate change/running change.
  • To review the total writeoff required, and work with Inside PM to raise write off PO or write off approval flow job.
  • CO Authorisation
  • To review and approve PDFs of technical drawings received.
To manage all CO Deliverables closure.

CO Implementation

  • To attend weekly implementation meeting.
To follow up the CO implementation as targeted implementation plan.
To update ISIR status through NPD.

  • ISIR approvals
  • Able to review & approve parts base on visual, fitting, dimension and testing report.
Need to attend fitting test at prime con's plant.
Need to record ISIR approval into NPD system.
Need to sign off ISIR sample as supplier master samples.

  • In cases of cost exposure:
  • Prepare Write Off Cost Approval (if required).

Points of communication:

  • Stephen Gould Business Development Teams: for project briefing and project reviews.
  • Stephen Gould Business Development Teams: on Product development and design requirements
  • Stephen Gould Inside Project Management Teams: for Workinprogress of projects they are responsible for requiring Engineering Ops.
  • Stephen Gould Inside Project Management Teams: on material costs and supplier support (Part QAS).
  • Development Designers & Engineers: working closely together on NPI and change management for customer projects.
  • Print Production Coordinator/Manufacturer: on ISIR approvals

Obligatory regular meetings:

  • CGC Team Priority Meeting (every Monday morning) to establish priorities for the week, review progress and highlight any problems.
  • CO Implementation meeting to review projects that will be closed out and ready for AAR.
